27 Reason to Attend the 27th Annual Pioneer Day Event

Celebrate Osceola County's first residents and the pioneering spirit of the late 19th century during the 27th Annual Pioneer Day. Here are some reasons why you won't want to miss this event, 27 reasons to be exact!


1.) The 27th Annual Pioneer Day event is a FREE, fun, fall festival. Save on admission with this great FREE event! That’s right, we are offering free admission to the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek. Saturday, November 10th  from 10AM to 4PM. FREE ADMISSION AND FREE PARKING!!

2.) Family Friendly Atmosphere!

3.) The event is sponsored by Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures.

4.) Learn about the history of Osceola County!

5.) Meet Col. Cadman as you tour the Cadman Complex.


6.) Children will be able to participate in fun crafts, story time and   perform daily chores  in the Kid Zone.

7.) Make your own rope!

8.) Take a tour through each of the historic buildings at the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek and hear the stories behind them. 

9.) Learn a lesson or two in the Replica Schoolhouse.

10.) Eat yummy BBQ from Big John's Rockin' BBQ!


11.) Stroll through the Florida Made Arts, Crafts, and Market. Vendors display locally grown or handmade products

12.) Visit the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek General Store

13.) Learn about the benefits of becoming an Osceola County Historical Society member and volunteer. 

14.) Purchase your very own 27th Annual Pioneer Day souvenir at the OCHS booth in the Market. 

15.) Visit with Seminole Indians. Learn about their traditions while exploring the Seminole Settlement at the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek.


16.) Kids can enjoy a pony ride at the Lanier House. 

17.) See how pioneers send and received mail at the General Store, now home to the original Narcoossee P.O. Box. Learn how you can become a temporary resident of the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek create by purchasing a box of your own.

18.) Hear stories from the cowboys at the Cow Camp.

19.) Watch the Seminole dancers perform. 

20.) Listen to live music by Folk Hill Revival.
