6 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Miss Our Historic Happy Hour on May 14th

Posted by Kimber Davis on May 9, 2014 5:00:00 PM

The Young Friends of the OCHS has decided to revive an old tradition in honor of Osceola History Month by bringing back Historic Happy Hour! On May 14th, you can stop in to Broadway Pizza Bar in Downtown Kissimmee from 5-7pm to get in on the fun and we’ve got six reasons why you shouldn’t miss this event…

Historic Happy Hour

1. It’s taking place at the ever popular Broadway Pizza Bar.

Is there really much more to say? Not only can you enjoy a few drinks during this happy hour event, but stay for dinner and take your pick from a variety of specialty pizzas, pastas, calzones and more. One of our favorites is the Broadway pizza, served with sweet italian sausage, green peppers, onions, olives, pepperoni and mushrooms. Yum!

2. Come to network!

Whether you are new to the area or have lived here forever, one of the key purposes of this event is to bring people together. You will be able to meet new people, spend time with old friends and support local business. Just call it a little schmooze & booze.

3. Which brings us to happy hour prices.

Broadway Pizza Bar offers 2 for 1 drafts and 2 for $7 wines. When out to network it’s a great way to say, “this round’s on me!” with your new (or old) friends. And the more you spend, the more money the Young Friends of the Osceola County Historical Society can raise to award scholarships to students of Osceola County.

4. Test your knowledge of Osceola County history.

Answer trivia questions related to our great Osceola County heritage, win a prize and dub yourself king or queen of Osceola trivia (at least for this year...)!

5. You only get one chance to celebrate Osceola History Month.

May only comes around once a year and it is our one chance to spotlight all the great things about Osceola’s past and how the pioneer families helped build such a solid foundation for today’s community.

6. Walk away with your very own set of historic cocktail recipe cards.

Ever heard of Southern Comfort Punch, Apple Pie Moonshine or a Tailgate Sipper? Make all three and a few more in the comfort of your home with our recipe cards for coming out to participate in the Historic Happy Hour.

We hope to see y’all there!
