I grew up in Osceola County, Kissimmee to be exact. I went to Osceola High School (GO KOWBOYS) then was homeschooled. I have my little pride and joy (she’s quite the firecracker), Aubrey, who is about to turn six. Who knows? She might take my position from me one day! She is my biggest fan and the best little model for my photography hobby.
As The Osceola County Historical Society grows, so does our need for volunteers. Whether you can give one hour or 30 hours a month, any service is appreciated. Volunteering is a rewarding experience and helps promote many causes in the community to make it a better place. With the expansion of our new Pioneer Village, our need for new volunteers is greater now than ever before and we’ve got a list a mile long of ways you can help.

Last month we featured Don Miers in our Volunteer Spotlight and wanted to continue with another great volunteer of the Osceola County Historical Society to kick off the month of August!
Al Forgione grew up in the New Hampshire and Massachusetts area as an only child with a vivid imagination and a flair for theatrics. His father managed a drugstore chain, and the drugstore was a terminal for the local buses. His dad let him ride the buses for fun as he explored all over town. During these excursions, Al became pals with the drivers, and this is where he honed his “talking” skills. As anyone who meets Al can attest – he loves to talk!
