We have been thrilled to host a few fantastic events over the past couple months at the many venues available through the Osceola County Historical Society! Here is a short recap of some of the events that took place in October.
The sounds of music and laughter rang throughout the Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum as Yanel Rios hosted a baby shower for her good friend, Melody Vargas, in the Buster Kenton Room and screened pn Porch. They brought beautiful Do-It-Yourself (DIY) floral centerpieces consisting of burlap wrapped jars and bottles. The hosts lined the tables with white lacy table covers and wrapped pink silverware in lace to celebrate her baby girl. In addition to a full buffet lunch, the hosts provided beautifully decorated pink treats for dessert. The music was flowing and traditional baby shower games were played. They even set up a special back drop to pose for fabulous photos. A great time was had by all!
The Florida Vacation Rental Management Association hosted their professional after hours networking and social event in the Buster Kenton Room and screened in porch. The guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, and assorted beverages at a standing reception. The attendees were fond of having exclusive use of the Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum as a unique activity for their networking event – something many had never experienced before! It was a great way for their guests to combine networking, education, and a little fun outside the office!
Stay tuned as we celebrate with two of ourOsceola County Historical Society Members as they celebrate their FIFTIETH Wedding anniversary. They will be saying, “I DO” again and renewing their wedding vows in the 1800’s Replica Historic Church at the Pioneer Village at Shingle Creek. After an intimate and beautiful ceremony, they will host their vow renewal reception in the Buster Kenton Room and screened in porch at the Osceola County Welcome Center & History Museum!
