Snow in Florida: A Celebration to Experience

Snow- 4 - Km.jpgRecently, I had the privilege of experiencing Now Snowing while attending the Kissimmee Is Me Ambassador Program sponsored by Experience Kissimmee, Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce and X Factor Institute. I left the event feeling like a kid again and in the Christmas spirit. I immediately thought to myself this is something that I need to share with everyone and decided I had to bring my family back the next week to partake in the festivities.

Celebration, Florida welcomes everyone young and old to join in on the holiday fun. This year’s 18th Annual Now Snowing event which is sponsored in part by Experience Kissimmee runs through December 31st. There is a list of activities to do with the whole family including ice skating, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Clause, or taking a ride around Celebration on a horse drawn carriage.

When you first enter Celebration, you’ll notice the beautiful houses that line the streets decorated with festive Christmas lights and wreaths. Once you reach the center of downtown Celebration, known as, Town Center, you begin to hear the hum of Christmas music floating through the air. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to see the Charles Dickens Christmas Carolers singing their exquisite songs while they stroll through the Town Center area.

One stop that you can’t miss is a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clause! He will greet you with a “Ho Ho Ho”, and a jolly big hug. While the children are busy telling Santa want they would like for Christmas, don’t forget to snap a picture to keep that memory forever. Don’t worry, Celebration is a dog friendly community so bring your furry family members with you for a meet and greet with Santa and a quick photo.Snow - KM.jpg

Now Snowing, Central Florida’s original and premier “Snowing” event offers nightly snowfalls at 6:00PM, 7:00PM, 8:00PM and 9:00PM every night through December 31st. Market Street is the place to be during those times and is also where the ice skating is located. The ice rink is open daily from 4:00PM to 10:00PM.
