Toe tapping and finger snapping aren’t usually something you’d do at an exhibit opening, unless that opening is about music, or in our case, the bands of Osceola County. At the opening reception we welcomed former band director, Larry O’Grady, who spoke about his days at Denn John and Osceola High School. The reception guests were also treated to a performance by a few of the members of OHS drum line.
On October 4th, the Osceola County Historical Society and some of our most adventurous members headed out to Tenoroc Shooting Center in Lakeland, Florida to participate in our yearly Shotgun Shuffle.
Another successful event can be added to the history books, well, The Osceola County Historical Society’s history books that is.
We hosted our first Hospitality Industry Party on Wednesday, September 10, 2014! During the event, Industry Employees were able to enjoy food, drinks and raffle prizes while experiencing the Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum. For most of our guests they were doing it for their first time!
